Welcome to the Arid Zone - it's been a long, strange trip.

I can't wait until I'm back in a house where the TV isn't on 24/7.

I like watching TV, heck I'm thinking about getting satellite. But man...turn it off when it isn't being directly watched.

I hate the television as background noise..it is like someone is scratching their nails across a chalk board.  Especially when I'm trying to work and write.  Turning up the headphones loud enough to block the sound would just hurt my ears so I can't do that.


And I like csi, I really do.  But..24 hours a day!? Man. 

Although my mom has had a "thing" for David Caruso since he was on NYPD Blue.

I had to show her this, although she isn't particularly fond of Jim Carrey:
