Well I started some online classes today through Barnes and Noble University.

The sign up and classes are free; of course they ask you to buy certain books for the classes. (which isn't surprising, seeing as BandN is a book store.) However they don't ask you to buy the books specifically through them; there is no clause stating that you have to spend money at the store to actually be involved in the classes.

The topics range from the purely entertainment oriented (Getting to know Dungeons and Dragons) to the useful (How to write science fiction.)

I'm signed up for the above two classes this month and start a class on selling manuscripts in feb.

Go to the site, look around and see what you can see. I'll let you know how it goes; the classes just started today.
