Well recomic.net does have a global fan base...we have about 70 unique hits a month from germany and like 10 from about 10 other countries. That's clobal right?

Achtung!

So I started using the service at emusic.com again; it is a subscription based music service where you pay a fee per month and get a certain number of downloads.  It isn't a rental program, but a program where you actually get to keep the music you buy. They have a wide selection of music, but have a tendency to focus on independent and smaller label musical groups. Which is fine by me, really.

They also have no Digital Rights Management on any of their songs; so you can copy, burn, chop up, put on your xbox/ps3/psp, do whatever with them to your hearts desire.

 They are the second largest online store for MP3s, behind the uberness of Itunes. Of course you can use emusic files on your Ipod because, as I said before, there is no DRM.

I like that.

 So I tried this service last year for a bit and kind of dug what they had to offer.  I didn't continue my subscription, however, since money and I didn't get along very at that point.  (Money left my hands pretty quickly, mainly due to bad decisions on my part...yee ha.)

So recently I ended up getting a email from Emusic asking me to to come back. They offered 75 tracks on top of the 30 you get with the 10 dollar a month subscription price. 105 tracks for 10 bucks? Even if I only stay a month or two it is still worth it. I signed up and have had the 105 tracks sitting there for a bit.

So tonight I decided to see if they had some bands that I like, but for who I don't own the albums. First group I thought about is Flogging Molly, the punk/celtic/irish/traditional/metal band. I love me some Molly. I wanted to see them for Saint Patties day this year, but couldn't. To my suprise Emusic has all of their albums on file. Which is very awesome; which also means I know where a good portion of those 105 music tracks are going to purchase.

w00t.

 Now I want to drink a Pint, get in a fight, and play my guitar really loudly with an acompaning fiddler. Sometimes the Irish in me just wants to come out

Finally..only a month after I was suppose to be there.

I don't know if any of you had to move back in with your parents for any length of time, but I don't recommend it. Especially when you have no room of your own and your mom (and her room mate) smoke like a Yugo running on regular.

Last night it was so nice to just close the door last night and know that no one could come in..and I could use my PC without hearing the TV on all the time, breathing fresh air, and not having to listen to comments about everything, or have the sound of Pogo.com seared in to my consciousness. I don't even have a matress yet but I had a better sleep on the floor of my own room then I have had in months.
Maybe my lungs can start to heal heh...Since I was really sick last week they have hurt a little; I know being around the smoke doesn't help.

 I'm working on some projects and being in my own space is going to help my whole creative output. I'm eating cup of noodles to stay alive right now, having to get the net off of a somewhat working satellite card...but man it is so worth it.

I have grown to hate the television. It is one of those things I will use, but when it is not being used I turn it off.  I haven't watched Television on a regular basis since..2003? 2004? I have grown to loath having the incessant chattering of inane fictitious beings always in my ear...and I'm not talking about voice chatting with my friends online (hahaha)

Anyway, I'm at work and just thought I'd take some time to rant since the satellite card works everywhere....

Although..when I woke up this morning the electric guy was driving off. He turned off our electric. Dang APS and their misunderstandings! Luckily I'm at work all night so the electricity on tomorrow when I get home..

Of course my house mate has to sleep with no electric.

 I also have my xbox 360 with me (The GTA IV duffel bag makes a really good 360 tote) so I should be playing more GTA here tonight. w00t.

I love my mom to pieces and our relationship is so much better then it used to be.  However I won't, God willing, have to live with her again.  I like being able to breath...heh.

6. What is your favorite season? I live in arizona.. we have two seasons: Hot and not so hot. Both have their attractions

8. Have you ever broken a bone? If so, which one(s)? Not knowingly....

9. Have you ever had surgery? If so, what kind? Yeah.  I know I had it when I was.thrown or hit or something as a baby.  Plus I sliced my leg open as a kid...then sliced my arm open as a somewhat adult.  Although the last one, I don't know if it would be called surgery.  They taped it shut...

10. Would you consider your glass half-empty or half-full? I prefer jars with Iced Tea, totally full and sweet....call me crazy

11. What is your middle name? Calvin.  So if you agree with me on subjects you can be known as a Calvinist.  (Named after my Grandpa.)

12. How tall are you? five six or five seven, been measured at both..without shoes. Probably somewhere inbetween.

13. What color is your hair? Dark brown, almost black.  Sometimes it looks lighter brown, but that is rare.

14. What color are your eyes? brownishazelishkindofgreen? I swear they change.

16. Do you have ten fingers and ten toes?  hmm..as far as I know...

17. What was your high school mascot? WEll the first was a Antelope, second a Rought Neck, Third was a Trojan, fourth was a Cougar.

21. Have you ever seen a broadway musical? Do you like theater? Yes I have (Crazy for you) and yeah I would love to attend more theater, but I reserve the right to not like what I see. 

22. How many kids do you want when you get married? As many as my future wife wants She  will be the one going through most of the birthing process.....

23.Do you have any tattoos? Nope.  Thought about getting a cross at some point.

This is awesome!

They are making two more middle earth movies: One based on the Hobbit and one set between the Hobbit and The Fellowship of the rings.

For those of you that think the second movie will just be filler, think again.  Ever read the appendices (Appendixes?...) to the Lord of the Rings? Or even the Similarion...there is a lot of history there that Tolkien didn't put in Prose form. 

Peter Jackson will be producing, with Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy) Directing.

Weta Digital is doing the Special effects once again...weeee!
