Check this out, Wes made this video today. The music is by flyleaf and may not be to everyones taste
I like it..however.
You can see more, including our new coat of arms, at www.recomic.net
I saw this awesome commercial today, thought I would share it with you:
BOOM DE AH DAH! Makes me want to become a world touring Photographer. Best part of the video? One of the mythbuster guys lighting the other one on fire... Then again I do like the building being blown up...
(click here if you can't see commercial.)
Okay now the GAMER version of the same video!
I think the part I love about this video is the GTA IV scene in front of the bridge and the helicopter firing at something in the background. Of course I do like the explosions...explosions are fun!
(Click here if you don't see the above video)
Just in case the refrain of Boom De yada isn't stuck in your head yet..HERE IS A LIVE
VERSION.
My favorite part in this one? The bouncy happy kids in the background that just seemed thrilled to be there (For the most part...) And the Boat Captains that are singing? They seem to be having fun
(Click here to see this one if it didn't appear)
I think this is one of the greatest commericals ever made. Discovery Channel took a step back from marketing for a moment and just wrote a little ditty about the things they love. It is very awesome and maybe more companies will follow suit. I don't mind advertisments; what i hate is people trying to figure out what to sale you without selling it to themselves first.
New Kids on the Block have ..has...uh..whatever
they've released a new album.
I mean..are they new? are they kids? I guess they may still be from the block...
You have no idea how much we made fun of them back in the day. We had no clue that MTV would turn into a station that just showed boy bands, rap videos, and crappy reality tv...
Thanks new kids..thanks alot.
heh.
EDIT: I read some of the comments to some of the new kids stuff..there are multiple generations of women arguing about which new kid (uh..yeah) is cuter.
Talk about mind blowing...mothers are passing it down to their daughters.
Posted this at recomic.net recently. Thought you might want to read:
Panda stands ready to defend the realm. As the myriad faceless horde rush towards him, he raises his sword aloft as his five companions move in behind him, their stance ready for battle. He knows the encounter is stacked against them, but the Panda does not care. For what is right, for what is moral, for what is Honorable, he will face the horde with the dignity that only he and the five understand. Knowing this, he rushes in to battle…
Then his father calls for him to come down and start making noodles. Thus the dream is dissolved and we have our first look at Po, the hero of this kung fu tale. He isn’t anything like his dream counterpart, of course. He is a little oafish and really unsure of himself. His is fat and self conscious.. He also knows how the make a really excellent bowl of noodles. Eventually he descends on a ball of fire, Po is dubbed the great Dragon Warrior; the one Panda that can save the Jade Temple and the surrounding village.
This is where King Fu Panda really becomes a great movie.
Very few animated films seem to be able to do action well. Some are to fantastic or soft in their display of action; some just can’t seem to find focus. Some, like last years Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, seem to go unappreciated. Kung “Fun” Panda is set to buck many of those trends showing us that a CGI animal heavy, sweet and surgery soda movie can, in fact, have some really good action scenes.
The creators of Kung Fu Panda have an obvious love for Hong Kong action flicks. It is obvious from the first scene, the previously mentioned dream in which Po is the savior of the vale. Intertwined throughout the rest of the movie is a slight sense of parody mixed with a deep reverence for a genre that many of us grew up watching. Unlike a typical Hollywood comedy, this CGI movie isn’t making fun of the Kung Fu genre, but using the elements of it as a way to make people laugh and have a good time. Yet they don’t sacrifice the action; instead using the Computer Graphic nature to enhance some really awe inspiring set pieces.
One scene, involving a dumpling and chopsticks, has to be my favorite. The wise and bitter Master has to show Po his inner warrior; and Po just wants to eat. Thus an epic battle is started with both humor and well choreographed instances.
Yes, the story is way predictable, but it doesn’t matter. The movie has a whole is made with love and passion for the genre it emulates. It also shows that Dreamworks Animation is capable of a quality of film matching Pixar; something that was sadly lacking in Shrek the Third.
This is a good family film; one that doesn’t insult the intelligence of the children that are going to see it and at the same time giving the adults taking them something to watch. It is a very rare treat to see a CGI film of this quality coming from another company besides Pixar.
Mindsay is still giving me issues...anyone else having problems?
Like not people able to post comments, etc...

Someone has paid me to work on their computer. There is a ton of stuff (Spyware, adware, etc) popping up on the pc when they start. I went over to their house to look at it..I told them the best course of action is to wipe the hard drive and reinstall windows Xp, starting off fresh.
I brought the pc home to work on..I just turned it on. See it was already on when I went over there to look at it..
It took 10 minutes for the pc to boot up all the way.
Wow.
It'll be a happy computer when I'm done with it....
Get snackitude in multiple flavors (Dorritos and cheetos and soda oh my!)
Play World of Warcraft until my eyes bleed
Wash my car
Play WOW some more.
I hope you all have a good memorial day as well! And do me a favor, remember our troops both past and present. Pray for those over seas and those that have served their country well.
